HINDU HERITAGE IN PAKISTAN

Hindu Pilgrimage Tours to Sacred Sites of Pakistan

Pakistan is home to some of the most sacred places in Hinduism. Hinglaj Mata in Balochistan is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, the pond of Katas Raj is linked to the tears of Lord Shiva, and Sindh is home to a large Hindu community with living temples, festivals and pilgrimages that go back centuries.

Our Hindu pilgrimage tours visit these places with respect and care. We plan time for darshan, puja and aarti, arrange vegetarian meals, work with local temple communities, and handle all permits and transport, so you can focus on your yatra.

How to Plan a Hindu Pilgrimage in Pakistan

01

Which yatra is right for you?

For Lord Shiva, choose Katas Raj, ideally at Maha Shivratri. For the Goddess, choose the Hinglaj Mata Yatra. To meet living Hindu communities, choose the Sindh or Thar tours. For family heritage in Punjab, choose the Punjab Hindu Temples Tour.

02

Festivals and seasons

Most of our Hindu pilgrimage tours are best from November to March, avoiding the summer heat. The main Hinglaj yatra is held in spring, Maha Shivratri usually falls in February or March, and Holi and Diwali are celebrated in the temples of Sindh. Read our guide to the best time to visit Pakistan.

03

Visas for pilgrims

We provide a Letter of Invitation for most nationalities; see our Pakistan visa guide. Indian pilgrims usually travel under the government pilgrim protocol between India and Pakistan, and we can advise on the process.

04

Permits and safety

Some areas, such as Hinglaj in Balochistan and Nagarparkar near the border, need extra permission or a police escort. We check current advice and arrange everything before you travel. Travel insurance is essential; read our travel insurance policy.

FAQ

Hindu Pilgrimage Tours FAQ

More questions? See our Pakistan travel FAQ, read reviews from our guests, or plan your trip with our team.

Which are the most important Hindu sites in Pakistan?

Hinglaj Mata in Balochistan, Katas Raj in Punjab, the temples of Karachi, Ramapir Mandir, the Shiv Mandir of Umarkot, Sadh Belo in Sukkur, and the Krishna and Valmiki mandirs in Lahore.

Can we perform puja at the temples?

Yes. We plan time for darshan, puja and aarti at each temple, and can arrange a local priest or community contact for special rituals.

Can Indian citizens join these tours?

Indian pilgrims usually visit Pakistan under the government pilgrim protocol between the two countries, which has its own rules and approved sites. We can advise on the process and help with ground arrangements where permitted.

Do you provide vegetarian food?

Yes. Vegetarian meals can be arranged throughout every Hindu pilgrimage tour.

Is it safe to visit Hinglaj Mata?

Hinglaj is in Balochistan, where foreigners usually need permission and may need a police escort. We check current security advice and only run the yatra when it is safe and permitted.

PRIVATE YATRAS
