Who we are

The Golden Adventure (TGA) is a Destination Management Company in Pakistan offering adventure and cultural tours. We are registered with the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Tourism (DTS licence DTS-GB-094).

Our head office is at Office No. 1, Al Sabah Chowk Jamhor Market, Gilgit 15100, Pakistan. In this policy, "TGA", "we", "us" and "our" mean The Golden Adventure, and "you" means anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or travels with us.

Information we collect

We do not use forms on our website. Most of the information we hold comes from you directly, when you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, or when you book a trip.

When you get in touch

• Your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and country.
• Trip details such as travel dates, group size, interests, budget and the tours you ask about.

When you book a trip

• Passport details, nationality and date of birth, which we need for hotels, domestic flights, permits and NOCs.
• An emergency contact.
• Dietary needs, fitness level or medical conditions you choose to share, so we can plan safely. We only ask for what matters for your trip.
• Payment records. Payments are currently made by bank transfer, and we do not collect or store card numbers.

When you use our visa services

• For a Letter of Invitation or visa application, we collect the documents the application requires, such as a passport copy, photograph, travel plans and contact details.

When you visit our website

• Basic technical information such as your browser, device and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 6).
• Messages you type into our TGA AI assistant (see section 5).

How we use it

• To reply to your questions and plan an itinerary for you.
• To book hotels, transport, guides and activities, and to arrange permits, NOCs, invitation letters and visas.
• To keep you safe during your trip and contact your emergency contact if we need to.
• To manage payments, bookings, changes and refunds under our booking terms.
• To meet legal and regulatory requirements in Pakistan.
• To improve our website, tours and service.
• To share news or offers, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

If you are in the UK or European Union, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (planning and running your trip), your consent (for example, marketing or sharing health details), our legitimate interests (improving our service), and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed for your trip, and only with people who need it:

• Travel suppliers such as hotels, transport providers, guides, porters and airlines.
• Government authorities in Pakistan, for permits, NOCs, invitation letters, visas and registration requirements.
• Pakistan Visa Desk, our visa services brand, when you use our visa services.
• Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, WhatsApp and our AI assistant provider.
• Emergency services or medical providers, if your safety requires it.
• Others where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our guests or our team.

TGA AI assistant

Our website has an AI assistant that answers questions about travelling in Pakistan and our tours. The messages you type are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate replies.

Please do not share passport numbers, payment details or health information in the chat. For bookings, contact our team directly on WhatsApp or by email. The assistant can make mistakes, so please confirm important details with us.

Cookies and embedded content

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website uses them to work properly and to help us understand how visitors use it.

Some pages include content from other services, such as YouTube videos and Google Fonts. These services may collect information about your visit according to their own privacy policies. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so videos do not set tracking cookies until you press play.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work as well if you do.

International transfers

We are based in Pakistan and serve guests from around the world. Your information may be stored or processed in Pakistan, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. Wherever it is processed, we take reasonable steps to protect it as described in this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Booking and payment records are kept as required by law and for accounting. Copies of passports and visa documents are deleted once they are no longer needed for your trip or application, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Keeping it safe

We limit access to your information to team members who need it, and we use secure tools to store and share documents. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will let you know if a breach affects you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your information, where we no longer need it.
• Object to or limit how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time.
• Opt out of marketing messages.

Guests in the UK and EU have these rights under data protection law and may also complain to their local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

Children

Our website is not meant for children. When children travel with their families, we collect their details only from a parent or guardian, and only what is needed for the trip.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make important changes, we will make them clear on this page.
