For centuries, Pakistan sat at the crossroads of Asia, linking China, Central Asia, Persia and India along the routes of the Silk Road and the Grand Trunk Road. Our overland tours follow these historic routes across the borders into neighbouring countries.
Every overland tour lasts 21 days. In Pakistan, our own team runs your trip; across the border, trusted local partners provide guides, drivers and hotels. We help with visas, check border status before every departure and adjust the route when needed.

Overland routes depend on borders being open to foreign travellers. In 2026 the Khunjerab Pass to China is open seasonally; the Wagah–Attari border to India has been closed to foot traffic since April 2025; and the Torkham (Afghanistan) and Taftan (Iran) routes are restricted. We check the latest status before every booking.
You need visas for every country on your route, usually arranged in advance. We provide a Letter of Invitation for Pakistan and help with planning for the other countries; see our Pakistan visa guide.
Some routes pass through areas that need permits or security escorts, and some countries have government travel warnings. Always check your own government's travel advice, and we will only run routes that are legal and considered safe.
The China route runs from May to October; routes across the plains of India and Bangladesh are best from October to March. Read our guide to the best time to visit Pakistan.

In 2026 the Khunjerab Pass to China is open seasonally (about May to October, weekdays only). The Wagah–Attari border to India has been closed to foot traffic since April 2025, Torkham is not open for foreigners entering Pakistan, and the Taftan route to Iran needs special permits and convoys.
Pakistan does not share a border with Nepal or Bangladesh, so the overland route passes through India. While the Wagah border is closed, we connect by flight.
