Punjab has a long Hindu heritage, and some of its most important sites can still be visited. The Punjab Hindu Temples tour begins in Lahore at the Krishna Mandir and the Valmiki Mandir, both active places of worship, and continues into the Salt Range to the sacred pond of Katas Raj.

We also visit Tilla Jogian, a hilltop once home to the Nath yogis, and travel south to Multan, one of the oldest cities in South Asia, where the ruins of the Prahladpuri temple are linked by tradition to the devotee Prahlad and the story of Holi.

BEFORE YOU GO

Good to Know

  • Puja & Darshan

We plan time for darshan, puja and aarti at each temple, and can arrange a local priest or community contact. Tell us your rituals and we will build the day around them.

  • Visas for Pilgrims

We provide a Letter of Invitation for most nationalities. Indian pilgrims usually travel under the government pilgrim protocol between India and Pakistan, and we can advise on the process.

  • Permits & Safety

Lahore, the Salt Range and Multan are well-visited areas of Punjab. Foreigners may register at checkpoints, which our team arranges.

  • When to Go

October to March is the best time; Punjab is very hot in summer. Read our guide to the best time to visit Pakistan.
