The Karakoram Highway Comfort Tour for Seniors is a 10-day journey along the famous Karakoram Highway in short, easy stages, with overnight stops, comfortable hotels, and the option to fly home from Gilgit.
The Karakoram Highway is one of the great road journeys of the world, but it is long. On this tour we break it into short stages of 3–5 hours, with comfortable overnight stops, so senior travellers can enjoy the views without exhaustion.
We drive through the Kaghan Valley to Naran, cross the Babusar Pass in summer to Chilas, continue to the Nanga Parbat viewpoint and Hunza, and spend three nights in Karimabad before flying back to Islamabad from Gilgit.

For a shorter trip, choose Hunza Valley at a Gentle Pace, which flies both ways. Younger travellers may prefer the Karakoram Highway Silk Road Tour.
Before you travel, read our Pakistan visa guide and our advice on travel insurance, or browse all our tours for senior travellers.

Our senior tours have short daily drives, late starts, rest afternoons and no long hikes. Every day can be adapted to your energy and interests.
We choose comfortable hotels with lifts or ground-floor rooms where possible, and arrange porters for luggage. Tell us about any mobility needs when you book.
The Babusar Pass reaches 4,173 m, but we only cross it, without stopping long. Please check with your doctor if you have heart or lung conditions.
April to October is the best time; the Babusar Pass is usually open from June to September (outside these months we use the Karakoram Highway via Besham). Read our guide to the best time to visit Pakistan.
